Welcome to the vast world that is my professional portfolio. I'm a designer and I mean that in the most all-encompassing way. Solving problems, using creative and critical thinking, designing killer aesthetics that are as usable and innovative as they are pretty are all specialties. I attribute my design sensibility to ample time spent grounded in my room as a kid, playing with sticks and of course hard work.

Art school was a good experience, but nothing prepared me for design like digging in and experimentation. I've honed my research skills over the years and often find myself with a running list of questions and curiosities to investigate when I have a moment. I have a natural curiosity and passion for improvement and learning. When I see design and user experiences, I like to think about if/how things can be simplified and work better.

In addition to my wild, creative pursuits, I've been psyched to realize my love for logical, left-brained activities such as (Flash) ActionScript 2 & 3, HTML and CSS. Another way my logical side manifests in my work is through data visualizations and infographics. Finding ways to clearly and simply represent data sets is immensely fun. User experience and the psychology of usability is also fascinating stuff that I research for hours on end and apply to my designs. I'm a minimalist at heart and believe good design should be intuitive and simple.
